Cato Kraft is a young executive leader in the Estes Valley who is a self-proclaimed nonprofit sector fangirl. Passionately serving as the Executive Director of the Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center (EPNRC), she is dedicated to helping bridge the gaps in her community through collaborative, innovative, and community-invested grassroots efforts.
Named a 2022 BizWest Northern Colorado Forty Under 40 honoree and a Nonprofit Woman of Distinction nominee, Cato's work in the Estes Valley community goes well outside of the exciting world of nonprofit capacity building. She has volunteered on numerous Boards within the community, has been a Senior Mentor with Partners! and a community volunteer with the Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership, and has volunteered as a Crisis Counselor with the Crisis Text Line since 2016. Cato has spent time doing nontraditional work to add some spice to her life, including working at an eco-feminist intentional living community, being a manta ray snorkel guide in Hawaii, and helping to run academic summer camps for high school students. Beyond the 9-5 (and let's be honest, it's an 8-8...nonprofit work never sleeps!) Cato enjoys spending time with her husband, Denali, and their dog, Millie, at their mountain home in Glen Haven. She looks forward to guiding the local Estes Valley nonprofit sector into the future and advocating for more young female leaders in the workplace.

“I was a member of a nonprofit summer theatre troupe in downtown Niagara Falls as a kid. We would go and “pass the hat” after each performance. I consider that to be my first foray into fundraising. Who can resist a ten-year-old with a sparkly top hat? I am still a fundraiser, I am a volunteer, I am a donor, and I am raising my family to believe that philanthropy is a family affair. You are never too young (or old) to get involved.”
Alison’s introduction to Estes Valley nonprofits began in 2000 through her work with Hobert Office Services. After a brief 13-year break to be a stay-at-home Mom, and a quick move to Maine and back, Alison was fortunate enough to begin working with the Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center in the Fall of 2015. Her time with the EPNRC has allowed her to be continually inspired. She believes there is always more to do and more to learn. "Life in Estes Park is lovely and I am so grateful to be a part of this community."

I have a long family history in Estes Park and am grateful to the generations before me that planted good seeds in this town. It feels wonderful to work together with, support, and promote the people and organizations working hard in this community. I am interested in a healthy and vibrant Estes Valley for me and my grandkids.
My strengths are in program management and marketing. I do the e-newsletter, the website, and graphics for the organizations. I love to write; I connect with member organizations to create the regular spotlight on the work of local nonprofits and the issues that affect them. Kinda my Barbara Walters momet.
Fun Fact: I am working on a story of Estes Park that spans 1905-1912.
