FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The guiding principles of the EPNPRC are as follows:

  • To provide educational opportunities for area nonprofit organizations;

  • To seek optimal utilization of limited resources through networking among nonprofit entities; and

  • To encourage through mentoring, support and guidance the emergence of innovation and creativity.

  • In achieving the above, the EPNPRC will serve, for limited times, as the fiscal agent for new and emerging nonprofit organizations.

Our focus is on all of the nonprofit groups in the greater Estes valley.  This includes existing human service organizations and community service groups, as well as any group of people who who have a potentially nonprofit mission (in mind) and who want to ask for our help in becoming a federally-recognized nonprofit organization.

Generally there is no cost to participate in any of our programs.  One of our goals is to use our reputation and mission to solicit support from vendors, potential workshop presenters, and funders so that we will not have to charge for the programs we present or sponsor.

Those agencies that work with us as their fiscal agent will generally not pay any fees unless their financial activities require any extraordinary amount of our time.

Agencies or organizations that choose to attend our workshops and training sessions will generally not be charged. Sometimes for special speakers or programs we may have to charge fees to compensate the speaker(s) or there may charge minimal fees to cover the cost of handouts and materials.

Our workshops are listed on this website.  Consultants are available to help organizations assess their particular and specific needs.

Our partner agencies and agencies offering services to similar populations are linked on this website.

Our email is info@epnonprofit.org.  One of the Board members will contact you soon.  This is the best place to start in working with us if you are an existing nonprofit.  If you are looking to start a new nonprofit, the same email address will put you in touch with us quickly.

If you are a funder and would like to join us in our support and nurturing of Estes area nonprofits, you can contact the Board at the same email address.

Frank Shavlik, Co-President
Sally Park, Co-President
